2. Been granted access by your supervisor/PI
3. Been granted access to CEMMS in Infinity X
Users with University of Auckland accounts should use the single sign on
to login
If you have not registered for Infinity X before, you will need to complete the following steps before booking a CEMMS instrument
Step 1: Login to Infinity X – or register a new account, then login
If you have registered for Infinity X at UoA, but have not yet requested access to CEMMS, jump to step 4
Step 2: Complete your Infinity X profile
Step 3: Request access to a Research Group
The research group is your Supervisor or PI for your project funding
Step 4: Request access to a Research Platform (CEMMS in this case)
You will be asked at this point to provide information on your project, any health and safety and vacuum compatibility issues relevant to your samples, and the type of analysis you want to run.
Note:
- All academic users (undergrad, postgrad and staff) are required to complete the training modules on “Microscopy Concepts” and “Scanning Electron Microscopy” as part of their registration
- In addition, postgraduate (Masters and PhD) students, Postdocs and academic staff are further required to complete the modules on “Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy” and/or “Focused Ion Beam”, if they plan to use these techniques for their analysis
Important: Follow the User Guide (PDF, 5.7MB) when registering for Infinity X and CEMMS, as there are several “generic” sections which should not be changed during the registration process.
